Wax returns with a vengeance to adjudicate this battle between 1976, 1985 & 1992!

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Welcome to another episode of your favorite adult, retro gameshow! We're happy to welcome back one of our favorite judges, the same man who created our sweet theme music, Wax! Wax brought his unique insight to the bench and a potential movie idea that we began to flesh out pre-recording. Unfortunately, we weren't recording at the time, wuh waah. Anyways, Wax has been here a few times, he knows the lay of the land, and he's up on his pop culture. So let's get this thing started! The first contestant this week, our friend from the Great White North, Joe Findlay brings his best from the final week of January 1992 along with him. Next up, Mancrush is looking to get back into the win column after several straight losses. To do so, he brought the finest late-January 1985 had to offer. And keeping the rear in check, Marc James goes way back to 1976 to complete this trio of retro awesomeness.

We love having veteran judges back on the show. The show may have changed slightly since the last time Wax was on in February 2020, but the premise is the same. Unfortunately, no rap battles this time, but you still may hear about: the reason Wax has two toothbrushes, the American Music Awards becomes an unsung hero, a real-life Mentos commercial in Arizona, Kersey may ride the subway, Blisters down under, Wax's surprising vocal inspiration, the seduction of Tom Skerritt, Ben Vereen dazzles his way to 41 IMDb reviews, politicians are straight shooters, Winter Magic gets hit over the head with a sock full of balls, the law offices of DeFazio-Feeney & Squiggman, unattainable vehicles, two guys go for broke, no one knows who Raphael is, Ozploitation is apparently a thing, a big 10-4 for pig pen, the Hobgoblin doesn't deliver in the clutch, snacks with Wax, back alley Lunchables, tough mall cops, and guess who's coming FOREVER?!

Do you agree with Wax's rulings? Play at home and judge for yourself! While you're at it, send your rulings to our Facebook and pick up 20 points on the Dueling Decades Leaderboard!

James Duval goes Beast Mode on December 1976, 1986 & 1996 in this retro rumble!

Fresh off the release of his new film Beast Mode with C Thomas Howell, James Duval joins us this week as our celebrity guest judge to determine who takes this "week" experience! James has been in some great movies over the years like Independence Day, Gone in Sixty Seconds, May, SLC Punk, The Doom Generation; the list goes on and on. Nicest guy in the world and he shows up with the huge creepy bunny head from his character Frank in Donnie Darko to help make sure there is no malfeasance with his selections! What a strategy! The first contestant this week, Joe Findlay is back and he brought along the best first week he could find in December 1986 for the journey. Marc James travels back in time to two years before he was born to research the merits of December 1976. And finally, Mancrush is trying to get his game back on track after a few crushing defeats, but will the hand he is dealt from December 1996 be enough?

So much fun conversation with James this week! After the show ended, the conversation didn't! So James might be back sooner than later. But in this particular episode, you may hear something about ninja fetish, Amy Brenneman defeats electricity, Tommy Lee Jones thinks he's Erik Estrada, the magic of movies, Sinbad wasn't a genie, Captain Steven Hiller perishes and brings a franchise down with him, a movie that sounds like it's about prostitutes, James dad brought him to strange flicks as a child, Mancrush's Dad needs to check his email, Sleestak is for the children, AAAAAY sit on it, a competitor emerges but did anyone buy it, Mancrush dials up an expert for his take, an odorous music selection leaves a bad taste in your mouth, the ultimate reason to fight, boring politics, a landmark ruling, flying swine, life feels like a sci-fi movie, Beast Mode's connection to Bernie Lomax, break out the paddles and slap some balls, Jimmy's new projects, and just what is it like to work with Randy Quaid??

Do you agree with James' rulings? Play at home and judge for yourself! While you're at it, send your rulings to our Facebook and pick up 20 points on the Dueling Decades Leaderboard!

Chris Ballew from The Presidents of the United States of America picks the best peaches from 1973, 1981 & 1992!

We're back with another episode of everyone's favorite adult retro gameshow, Dueling Decades! But before we begin, you have to ask yourself one question. Is this lump outta your head? I think so! Why do I think so? It's probably because we're joined by Caspar Babypants himself, former frontman of The Presidents of the United States of America, guest judge Chris Ballew! Chris took some time out from creating new albums and art to judge this retro battle between our favorite decades. Our buddy Beau Becraft is back in the fold this week and went spelunking all the way back to the 70s for the first time with a righteous week from the end of November 1973. After breaking a five-week win streak, Mancrush is looking to get back on track with the last week of November 1981. Rounding out this week, Marc has been locked inside of the cyber cafe devising the best end of November 1992 he could ascertain.

Millions of peaches, peaches for me, millions of peaches, peaches for free. Look out, Chris Ballew is swinging the gavel! In this episode, you might hear about Chris's almost disastrous meeting with Madonna, a cloud to rest your weary head, Marc pulls up in the party wagon, a cornerstone of Mancrush's childhood, workouts with the junction boys, more corruption in Washington, adopting mammals, Jon Hamm and Adam Scott disappoint Paul Rudd, Mr. Johnson puts a finger on you, Chris Barron returns, an altar boy's gift, Beau goes outside the box to end up in the boobtube, it's not Def Leppard, Ballew is intrigued by sea monkeys, Greatest American Hero meets Police Academy 2, footless dwarfs, Disney flicks, Beau gets scolded for using Kitty, listener questions, 18 albums in 10 years, Chris calls Francis Ford Coppola's house, life on the road, and why does Chris write about fruits and wildlife??

Do you agree with Chris's rulings? Play at home and judge for yourself! While you're at it, send your rulings to our Facebook and pick up 20 points on the Dueling Decades Leaderboard!

The Leader of the Monster Squad, Andre Gower determines if 1979, 1985 or 1998 had the finest Nards!

Just so happens, Monster Squad was one of my favorite movies growing up! Not only did I get to see it in the theater, but I was also in a dorky Monster Squad ripoff club at school called "The Monster Club"! Needless to say, I was looking forward to this episode. The leader of the Monster Squad and director of Wolfman Got Nards, Andre Gower joins the crew this week to judge this ghoulish battle of the decades! For the occasion, Andre gets to judge which decade had the best Monsters! Fan of the show and Monster Squad superfan, Trevor Gumbel joins the crew this week and brings a Monster 1998 to the table! Marc James wore his Member's Only jacket this week and brought along a classic helping of Monsters in 1979. Riding a five-game win streak, Mancrush rounds out this eerie episode with the best Monsters of 1985 he could conjure up.

If you're a fan of Monster Squad, you need to see Andre's Monster Squad documentary, Wolfman Got Nards. Until then, listen in as Andre channels his inner-Sean, grabs the gavel, and judges this episode like a boss! In this duel, you might hear about Liam Neeson stalking the set, Mancrush runs into the real Godzilla, Lestat isn't Sting, a reporter goes full-on Jack McGee, terrible marketing, killer chickens of the sea, a virgin tells an unlikely tale, the best mullet of all time, Marc trades in his socks and sandals to go horror punk, Vincent Price is in everything, Tobe Hooper butchers Stephen King, Disney tries to be scary, your TV made you miss parts of Monster Squad, Fred Dekker rocks, two stoners release thirteen ghosts, a legendary franchise is born, Trevor brings a real downer, a middle-aged vampire swoons over Marcy Darcy, Andre answers listener questions, Dustin Diamond trades baseball cards, and did Andre really kill Atari?!

Do you agree with Andre's rulings? Play at home and judge for yourself! While you're at it, send your rulings to our Facebook and pick up 20 points on the Dueling Decades Leaderboard!

Master impressionist Jim Meskimen judges this duel between 1974, 1984 & 1994!

This week we asked acclaimed actor, comedian, and master impressionist Jim Meskimen to step behind the bench. Jim’s impressive body of work spans just about all of our Dueling Decades categories. Jim has worked on many of friend Ron Howard’s films as they both share the same mother, so to speak. Jim’s mom Marion Ross, played Marion Cunningham Ron Howard’s mom on the legendary TV show Happy Days. Jim’s voices can be heard all over Hollywood, video games, and television as he even appeared on a season of America’s Got Tallent! That being said, we knew he would be the perfect judge, and when Jim Meskimen is your judge you never know who is going to show up!

Mike Ranger's short judicial career is over, and he is back with the best of November 1984! Mancrush jumped in the DeLorean without his seatbelt and ended up dialing in November of 1974. And to round out the competition, Marc James settled his tab at the cyber cafe and delivers a cappuccino with the best of November 1994!

Jim pulled out his "wheel of impressions" and an arsenal of celebrity friends to help him judge this tightly knit battle between November 1974, 1984 & 1994! In this episode, you might hear something about Arthur Fonzarelli's vices, Mike Ranger's obsession with tight spaces, NBC manages to avoid sleeping with the fishes, Jim sticks to the rivers and the lakes he's used to, the grandpappy of thrash emerges a champion, Matthew McConaughey drops by to say hello, the RIAA announces the cement classification, George W. Bush gets confused, a pop quiz for 12.99, Mancrush channels his inner Robert Frost, NBC goes dark in the 90s, a deal that keeps getting worse all the time, Sands gets the ax before moving on up, Reitman delivers a bomb, Woody Allen stops by to say hello, Jack Sparrow gets crushed by a record player, Mr. Rogers only wears one sweater, Charlton Heston has sex with more women half his age, a mutt saves kidnapped children, frilly shirts are back in style, life growing up on the Happy Days set, deep fakes are frightening, celebrity fortune cookies, and did Fonzie ACTUALLY Jump the Shark?

Do you agree with Jim's rulings? Play at home and judge for yourself! While you're at it, send your rulings to our Facebook and pick up 20 points on the Dueling Decades Leaderboard!
