The Creators of the new Nickelodeon documentary The Orange Years slime 1977, 1988 & 1997!

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Did you grow up watching Nickelodeon? We sure did! Sure, Mancrush was watching Friday the 13th when he was like five, but he still watched himself some Nickelodeon. So the moment the boys saw mention of a Nickelodeon documentary, they jumped at the chance to get "The Orange Years: The Nickelodeon Story" directors' Adam Sweeney and Scott Barber on the show. First off, if you're a fan of Nick, you really should find yourself a copy of this documentary, it's packed with some green, slimy nostalgia! Second, Scott and Adam were amazing judges. To make sure this episode fit the bill, these guys had to decide which decade was "The Best for Kids". Our boy, Joe Findlay from the Great White North is back, and he came with the best options kids had from 1997. Playing the middle of the Oreo, Mancrush came correct with a snapshot of a kid's existence in 1988. Rounding it all out, Marc James rides in the rear of the wood-paneled station wagon with no seatbelt on as he delivers with 1977!

As judges, Adam and Scott are hard to beat. You can feel their passion for each and every selection that was handed to them. This one is tight, but they managed to make that final call! In this episode, you might hear something about: getting slimed and loving it, pandering to wives, hooking up with your girlfriend's friends cause she demanded it, Hakuna Matata with a side of sax and violence, everything needs more Teek, bad movie reviews, cartoon fetishes, a classic is born, the origins of a real piece of trash, analytical football for kids, the king of cellulite, the grandpappy of livingroom gaming, magic sticks, critiquing Mom against Donna Reed, tie-breakers, some behind the scenes stories from The Orange Years, and who sported an Emmanuel Lewis fanny pack?

Do you agree with Scott and Adam's rulings? Play at home and judge for yourself! While you're at it, send your rulings to our Facebook and pick up 20 points on the Dueling Decades Leaderboard! Then go find a copy of The Orange Years!

Judge Jamie Kennedy returns to break down this duel between 1974, 1984, & 1993!

He might not be back in Scream 5, but he's back again on Dueling Decades! Fresh off a photoshoot, Jamie Kennedy joins the game show once again! With a fresh tea in one hand and a gavel in the other, Jamie sits down poolside to judge another retro battle this week. It's not just any retro battle though, this episode is all about "games". Video games, board games, Tiddlywinks, any game you can think of! Our first competitor needs little introduction, Drew Zakmin has brought some fierce competition of late, and it won't end this week with the best games of 1974. Marc James has also been tearing things up of late, and he brings some primo games from 1993. Rounding out the competition this week, Mancrush is back after dominating last week, but will he build upon that impressive performance? We shall see, as he brought the finest games 1984 had to offer.

Jamie was so awesome to come back and chill with the guys! They did feel bad for chatting him up for two hours, but it was well worth it. This episode is packed with all kinds of goodies: a video game that got away with ripping off the planet, Swedes that can really sing, a former Vice President pens an unlikely hit, prison yard basketball at the arcade, an elementary school fight club, an unbelievable streak by a great Canadian, a TV show that Joey Fatone ripped off, a kid's show that's being rebooted for adults, two giants change the toy industry, long balls, death threats, too much blood for the mother's of America, the most violent "kids" movie ever created, Roger Moore might have been a bit of a stretch for Drew, a Yankee with three nipples, movies that Jamie didn't think came out planned, questions Jamie hates getting asked, Millenials love Son of the Mask, Randy is dead, Disney almost made a beloved horror flick, Jamie almost went rafting with Seth Green, why working on movies is better than TV, megalomaniacal principals, the grandpa of fighting games, a couple plumbers from Brooklyn make a movie, and what the hell is a "bagpuss"?!

Do you agree with Jamie's rulings? Play at home and judge for yourself! While you're at it, send your rulings to our Facebook and pick up 20 points on the Dueling Decades Leaderboard!

The judging is done, man! Keith Coogan raises the gavel on this duel between 1979,1982 &1997!

We're totally excited to be joined by the star of YouTube's new show, The Quarantine Bunch! Everyone, please rise for our special guest celebrity judge, Keith Coogan! Adventures in Babysitting, Don't Tell Mom The Babysitters Dead, Toy Soldiers, Hiding Out, The Fox and The Hound, 21 Jump Street, Silverspoons, Growing Pains, Mork and Mindy, CHiPs, Just the 10 of Us, Tales from the Crypt; Coogan was in everything, and he was a fantastic judge to boot. Keith's here to make sure "The Judging is done, man", and he'll be judging these men: First up, Beau Becraft, the man with the voice of an angel took some time away from doing voiceovers to bring the very best of the final week of July 1997. His first opponent, Marc James is back from vacation and ready to beat these gents with a first-rate offering from the final week of July 1979. Trying to get off the losing path, Mancrush changed into a new "lucky" shirt for the week, but will it work? We'll find out if his offerings from the final week of July 1982 will do the trick.

Keith Coogan drops some serious knowledge on the guys this week. Having been involved in Hollywood his entire life, Keith has some tales to tell! There is so much great nostalgia in this episode! Fast soundtracks, creatures that spray children, Tom Green's favorite vehicle, turtles with baboon arms, highways to the netherworld, an album close to Beau's heart, prostitutes who cook eggs in their underwear, houses that kill, a cosplaying John Leguizamo, the financial realities of motion pictures, Universal strikes a deal, Keith's uncle plays a priest, the real reasoning behind reboots, getting punched in the nuts, the Battle of Los Angeles was actually drug smugglers, Keith loses his virginity to ACDC and then gets caught, more stupid network decisions, Letterman watches a man get the taste slapped out of his mouth, gameshow disclaimers, a school for dicks, The Rolling Stones get paid a lot, The Fox and The Hound, listener questions, and who was Keith's favorite person to ever work with?

Do you agree with Keith's rulings? Play at home and judge for yourself! While you're at it, send your rulings to our Facebook and pick up 20 points on the Dueling Decades Leaderboard!

Original video vixen Tawny Kitaen shows off her judging skills on this duel between 1975, 1987 & 1994!

We're excited to introduce Tawny Kitaen, the original video vixen from the 1980s who was kind enough to stop by the show. Even though the guys woke her from her slumber, she's still here and ready to swing the gavel as our guest judge; live from her bed. Mike Ranger took some time away from the Video Rangers podcast to bring the best week he could conjure up from mid-July 1994. His first opponent, Joe Findlay of Miscast Commentary is back with his first-ever helping from the 1970s, as he brings his week for the ages from mid-July 1975. Back on a losing skid again, Mancrush looks to find his mojo with his best offering from mid-July 1987. This episode is packed with nostalgic goodies!

Tawny was so extremely happy to be awoken by these three hooligans that she even offered them one of her new exclusive candles for the Podcast New York studio. She loved them that much, but will she love the picks that much? Bet your bottom she did! In this episode, you may find stories about Tawny nitpicking a pitcher's decisions, the best things you can buy for a dollar, a movie no one really liked, cartoons from the 70s, a musicians philanthropy, a metal god's first show, cake and sodomy, Tawny wants Taco Bell, a kingdom collapses, everyone loves the long ball, obscure comic books, another big weird ball, a game you can't play in the backseat of a car at night, a spokesmodel that outshined his or her product, another multicolored ball no one in the US cares about, David Lee Roth's insatiable appetite, one man's trash is another man's treasure, a good movie that seems to be forgotten, a collection of legends, Tawny marries Joe and divorces him, and what's in the box, and what does it smell like??

Do you agree with Tawny's rulings? Play at home and judge for yourself! While you're at it, send your rulings to our Facebook and pick up 20 points on the Dueling Decades Leaderboard!

Chris Barron of the Spin Doctors is here to oversee this battle between 1989, 1991 and 1999!

Marc James is a Spin Doctors superfan, and nothing was going to hold him back from being on this episode of Dueling Decades, not even when his Internet lines get cut! That's right, the gods were against us for this recording. Two hours before our recording with Chris Barron, Marc's Internet lines got cut in a crazy construction snafu, then Mancrush's network card took a dump 30 minutes before call time! That said, we adapted, and we overcame! No pandemic, cut Internet, or faulty computers were going to stop us from recording this episode. But, just in case Joe Findlay from the Miscast Commentary Podcast is here on backup!  With the contest underway, Marc stacked the deck to impress Chris Barron with his 21st birthday of 1999! Drew Zakmin from the One Headlight 90's podcast is back with the funnest 11th birthday he could muster from 1991! And to round everything out, Mancrush is looking to find another lucky shirt with his own 11th birthday from 1999!

It's been a whole lot easier since tonight's gremlins are gone, it's a whole lot happier without their faces around! Chris Barron is still rocking on his live "Thirsty Thursday" shows on StageIt, make sure to drop on in. Don't worry, the Spin Doctors are still together as well, and he gives us some deep musical introspective on the past and present! It doesn't end there though, find out how the Spin Doctors came to be, Mancrush's second favorite Kickboxer of 1989, wearing operating room attire to dinner, the best way to conceal your peppermint schnapps, three teens that could have saved Al Capone from syphilis, two nearly identical stories about an ageless legend, a beastly beverage we've all purchased, our wives keep our childhood memories in the basement, watch Wapner wherever you want, knockoff birthday gifts, showing up at a movie and your song is unknowingly in it, dark 90's music, the birth of a musical legend, a reptile that looks like John Goodman, a musician you put on when you turn the lights down, things you do in the passenger's seat of your best friends vehicle, things people say about Chris' bandmates, playing games in a Craftmatic adjustable bed, snitches get stitches, Marc uses AOL instant messenger to meet a stranger in New York City, and what is it like to know your album is basically available anywhere you go?

Do you agree with Chris's rulings? Play at home and judge for yourself! While you're at it, send your rulings to our Facebook and pick up 20 points on the Dueling Decades Leaderboard!
