Mike Ranger returns to make a ruling on who had the best week between October 1975, 1982, & 1993!

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Another week, and another retro battle! Mike Ranger hasn't judged an episode in well over a year. Matter of fact, for a stretch in early 2019, Mike Ranger was our dedicated judge. Judge Ranger knows the ropes, and brings his own unique judging style to the table! This is a week experience, so you never can predict what picks could be brought to the table, and this episode is no different. Drew is back in the fold and he had to dig real deep to deliver the best he could find for his week in October 1975. Marc James threw on his leather Member's Only jacket and was ready to rock with the best of the last week of October 1982! Finally, Mancrush completes this week experience challenge with the finest final week of October 1993 he could conjure.

You're in for a treat, Mike Ranger uses his very methodical judging prowess to determine the winner of this stiff matchup! In this episode, you might hear something about a boy who thought he could fly, the weirdest hot product you couldn't even imagine, Mancrush bores Judge Ranger, another unexpected duet, Erik Estrada takes down not Gene Simmons, Marc phones home for a hot product, Sean Maguire went to see about a girl, women's rights, the birth of the candy x-ray, extreme body modifications, Drew goes to bat for spider's rights, never judge a movie by its cover, David Carradine edges out Bruce Willis, a cocaine-fueled album rocks the westies, and Mike Ranger must be delirious to not be a fan of this artist!

Brent Hand from the Hysteria 51 Podcast judges this episode of the unexplained between 1977, 1988 & 1995!

For months, Brent Hand of Hysteria 51 fame has been requesting to be a judge on an episode of Dueling Decades. The guys love having him as a contestant so much that they were reluctant to pull the trigger on Brent sitting on the other side of the bench. Well, they finally came to their senses and decided to give Brent a crack at swinging the gavel. And since Hysteria 51 covers all things unexplained, they figured it would probably be most fitting to focus the entire episode around the genre of - The Unexplained! So you may hear about ghosts, missing persons, the occult, demons, aliens, slashers, and whatever else they could fit within the unexplained! Our first contestant this week hails from the great white north, Joe Findlay of Miscast Commentary brought whatever unexplained oddities from 1995 that he could unearth. Mancrush is back, minus his favorite shirt that is. After getting shutout for the first time ever, that shirt ended up becoming a pile of ash! Mancrush is out for blood this week, with the unexplained of 1988. Rounding out the competition, Marc James once again had to dig way back into the 70s to conjure up the unexplained of 1977!

While none of them will ever be Robert Stack, they try their best to be! Brent uses his Hysteria 51 experience to decide which decade takes this unexplained battle royale, and it comes right down to the wire. In this episode, you just may hear about demonic dolls, clairvoyants that couldn't see their own deaths, Mancrush sees a UFO, the best fight scene in cinematic history, Tobe Hooper brings an origin story to syndication, a 32-year-old sealed package is unveiled LIVE, a board game no one will remember, Joe mystifies with some bootleg Harry Potter, vanishing TV anchors, a transmission that will make you go wow, movies that put Mancrush to sleep, a criminal with a limp, classic science fiction, Richard Dreyfuss just can't catch a break, a soundtrack with a lot of yelling, a song that you might not expect is about aliens, and which toy movie fits this episode's narrative better?

Do you agree with Brent's rulings? Play at home and judge for yourself! While you're at it, send your rulings to our Facebook and pick up 20 points on the Dueling Decades Leaderboard!

Time to face the music, the real Princesses Diane Franklin & Kimberley Kates judge this most excellent duel between 1972, 1985 & 1992!

Bill and Ted Face the Music comes out in a few days, but today these gents will face the music from a couple of Princesses! That's right, joining us with duel gavels in hand, the original Princesses from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure join us to decide which decade did it better. Diane Franklin and Kimberley Kates, the REAL Princesses are here! These sisters of 15th century English royalty are in for more time travel, as they judge this "weak" experience between mid-late August 1972, 1985, and 1992! First up, Mike Ranger is back to kick things new school with a triumphant August of 1992. Marc James also climbs into the phonebooth and dials us all the way back to August 1972! Rounding things out, Mancrush brings a totally bodacious August 1985 to the fold. These Princesses are as sweet as you'd expect babes from the past would be! They don't always agree with each other's selections, but they are most harmonious. There weren't any heinous picks on this episode, so no melvins were issued! That said, this episode is packed with lots of stellar stuff such as: a rocker receives a dead man's belt, living the American dream, the ladies give their thoughts on reboots, imposter Princesses, the machine that started it all for Mancrush, flaccid linebackers, a musical homage to the 60s, attending high school for seven and a half years, cult classics that stand the test of time, Kimberley gets a movie idea, cellphones killed Hollywood, find out what happens when the FBI stops being polite and starts getting real, a woman fixes daytime TV, HIV can't stop Magic, a famous Bird rides off into the sunset, a movie that makes Mike Ranger's blood boil, Barry Manilow is pissed at Brandy, dude Kimberley got a Compaq, cereal that came with diabetes, musical refugees, Betty Lou is packing, Diane's thoughts on rebooting a virgin, never buy a used coffin, the lack of 80s period pieces, and would you rob a bank for your lover? Do you agree with the Princess's rulings? Play at home and judge for yourself! While you're at it, send your rulings to our Facebook and pick up 20 points on the Dueling Decades Leaderboard! Also, don't miss out on our live trivia! Friday, August, 28th! Check our Facebook events for more details. Please don't forget to subscribe and review! Richard Gabai gets Hot Under The Collar as he judges this duel between 1971, 1981 & 1991!

We asked fan-favorite, Rhonda Shear if she knew anyone who might be interested to come on the show to guest judge, and she immediately mentioned Richard Gabai. If you were a fan of USA's Up All Night in the '90s, you most definitely have seen Richard's work. Virgin High, Assault of the Party Nerds, Vice Girls, and a plethora of other gems! Richard hasn't stopped since then, producing, acting, and singing! Richard is in a great band called Richard Gabai and The Checks, and you should check them out on Spotify! Richard also sings the praises for one of our competitors this week, but which one? Joe Findlay is back this week, and he represents the best August 1991 you can handle! His first opponent has been on a hot streak of late, Marc James is back with a helping of August 1981 that doesn't disappoint. Finally, Mancrush rounds out the bunch by delving deep into August of 1971!

This was such a fun episode for the guys, Richard is a talented guy that knows his stuff, and he's a fan of Joe Findlay's passive aggression! This episode is loaded with lots of goodies! Check out Richard's latest work "Justice" on Netflix, or go to Amazon Prime and watch some of his Up All Night classics! Other than that, you might hear stories about STDs, turning 150k into two million bucks, the birth of an iron man, government coverups, an epic launch, characters that like rubber nipples, an intricate love story that turns awkward, a murder of a radio star, candy no one can unwrap, a landmark in gaming, 5150 - no, not that one, one of the greatest albums ever made, nothing else matters but numbers, the king of compelling dialect scores a lady half his age, pandering to the judge with a documentary, one of the greatest horror movies of all time, Richard's Dad gives Marc a point, Gary Busey stages a shutdown over Richard, the rigors of the celebrity tennis circuit, and what former Nerd plays guitar in Richard's band?

Do you agree with Richard's rulings? Play at home and judge for yourself! While you're at it, send your rulings to our Facebook and pick up 20 points on the Dueling Decades Leaderboard! Also, don't miss out on our live trivia! Friday, August, 28th! Check our Facebook events for more details.
