Eddie Munster himself TV star Butch Patrick guest judges this frighteningly close fight between 1966, 1977, and 1982!

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Welcome back to another episode of Dueling Decades! For the first time, the mighty 80s goes to war with the 70s, and the 60s! In order to go back that deep, we needed someone with a great deal of expertise, and we snagged the right guy for the job! This time around we brought in television star Butch Patrick of The Munsters! Eddie Munster himself steps behind the bench to adjudicate this wild "week experience" battle between 1966, 1977, and 1982! Butch is sharp as a tack, he's a literal encyclopedia of pop culture, and he's prepared to drop some knowledge on everyone. Marc drew May 8th through the 14th of 1966, Mancrush duels with the same week in 1977, and our third competitor this week is our pal Drew Zakmin who brings the best of May 9th through the 15th, 1982. There is so much packed into this episode! Butch shares lots of stories from the past, iconic performances, movies that lack explanation, lack of screens, a car developer to the stars, Butch's first concert with older women, douchebag record labels, a media mogul's first time, Cosby at Hugh's house, Rob Zombie's favorite show, wild coincidences, dudes on yachts, getting on MTV in the 80s, outrageous contracts, a new summer league emerges, not incestual lesbian sisters, a show comes to an end, another iconic show is canceled, Marc's weird album collection, Juice goes to college, and who partied in Butch's bus? That, and so much more! Do you agree with Butch's rulings? Play at home and judge for yourself! While you're at it, send your rulings to our Facebook and pick up 20 points on the Dueling Decades Leaderboard! Please don't forget to subscribe and review! Be prepared to lose your mind, it's movies Jay has never seen.

Next week we return to our regularly scheduled programming. But first, we wanted to share this epic blast from the past with you! You'll laugh (and maybe cry), as we explore the retro roots of Dueling Decades with you. With that said, we set the flux capacitor back a few years to the early days of the show! It's that time Marc James and Mancrush were astonished by the amazing list of movies that then co-host Jay Biglove had never seen (or even heard of)! The guys could not pass-up this hilarious opportunity to have Jay tell us and the listeners what he thinks the plots of these movies are. Jay bases his synopsis solely on the title, and then shocks us with what little he knew about them! Hear new versions of some of your favorite 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s VHS classics as they can only be told by Jay! I guarantee you're going to lose your mind.

Marc and Mancrush listen in as Jay Biglove breaks down "Breakin’", but not the version you have ever seen (or anyone else for that fact)! Find out who joined an underground fight club and what Jets' quarterback was a hall of fame speedster! Does Richard Branson have a death wish and should Macaulay Culkin lean on me or stand by me? For some reason, Jay thinks Se7en is secretly a movie about gambling addiction and that Lane Myer was on an impossible mission! Jay still does not know who the puppet master is (even though he was there when we interviewed Charles Band) and may never figure out who the substitute is....but he thinks Camron Diaz may have something to do with it. You will never believe who Jay thinks was in Orgazmo. We promise you will never see these movies in the same light.

Another retro sit-down with the man who isn't even supposed to be here today, Brian O'Halloran

Thanks for all the messages about last week's retro throwback episode! There is nothing like reliving the past with a little fireside chat. We know you want some more Dueling Decades, but we're still on vacation. Don't worry though, we're going back in time once again! This week we get to rehash an epic conversation we had with Brian O'Halloran! It's funny to listen back to an episode that we did three short years ago. So much has changed since then, and we got to hang out with Brian a few months after this interview, and he's as cool as expected. Great guy and I hope we can get him back on Dueling Decades one day as a judge!

In this retro sitdown, the decadent boys of the stall delve deep into Brian O'Halloran! You may know Brian as Dante from Clerks, and 37 other Hicks characters from the View Askew universe! The boys and Brian talk about his love for the Rangers, what life is like for a Jets fan, the worst job he ever had, Clerks, the party life of convention stars, and even how to deposit a check for .06 cents. Brian weighs in on the ill-fated Clerks cartoon, Clerks 3, the Jay and Silent Bob reboot & Mall Brats. Mr. O'Halloran becomes the first guest to ever check in on Shawbag, as his bizarre silence was staring to freak everyone out. And who the hell is Rick Mancrush?! Check this one out, there is a lot of goodies inside.

It's a Dueling Decades retro throwback with one of our favorite guests of all time, Daniel Baldwin!

As a lot of our loyal fans are aware, for a long time we used to have another show called Poop Culture. When we folded the show to go fulltime with Dueling Decades, we left behind a lot of really great interviews! Well, since we're on a vacation week, we decided to release some of these old "fireside" chats with various guests. This episode was really a surprise to us because it occurred only 29 episodes into that show. That night, we were all prepared to have a special effects artist on the show, and we were all ready to rock. Two hours prior to showtime, we got a call from his agent that he had an emergency and had to back out of the show. That same agent said, "if you want, I could call Daniel Baldwin if you're interested". Well, the rest was history!

Daniel Baldwin is a fantastic talker and storyteller! Listen to Mancrush and former co-host Jay Biglove chat it up with Mr. Baldwin, you won't be disappointed. Danny talks to us about growing up Baldwin and being one of the famous Baldwin brothers. He talks about terrorizing his sister’s boyfriends and even sings us a tune that is shockingly impressive. Dan also discusses Celebrity Big Brother, reality TV, and we brainstorm our own celebrity beatdown challenge. We also get some behind the scenes info on Celebrity Rehab, John Carpenter, Homicide: Life on the streets. Last but not least, Dan talks about directing his award-winning movie “The Wisdom to Know the Difference”. And, did I mention that Daniel Baldwin is a fantastic storyteller? See for yourself!

Enjoy this walk down memory lane from over four years ago! Hit us up on social media and let us know what you think. What I think is, Danny needs to come back and be a judge on the show!

Judge Schultz is back with a vengeance in this tight duel between 1973, 1986 & 1996

Welcome back, our buddy David Schultz is back to judge this retro duel! The heart really does grow fonder when your close friends are not around, and it shows. The boys let loose for some retro hijinks in this seriously amusing "week experience"! Before getting started, there's some big news dropped from the Dueling Decades team. From there, the retro warriors get right into some fierce competition! Drew Zakmin finally gets to dive way back, and brought the best week he could find from mid-September 1973. Marc James jumps into the future with a dazzling helping of mid-September 1996. And, Mancrush rounds out the panel with a prodigious dollop of mid-September 1986!

This duel is very tough, but so is David Schultz. Judge Schultz won't take any lip from the contestants and brings some unique views to the bench! In this episode, you might hear about Mancrush's obsession with inflation, Billy Dee Williams does a movie on par with Citizen Kane, Bruce Willis stars in a flop, Schultz loves Ernest, patiently waiting in lines, a legend goes deep, a rocket transforms into a seabass, Zakmin was conceived in a Plymouth Caravan, how to properly use a bidet, life with four channels, a cartoon that would never fly in 2020, the best job in the world, Christmas in September, a classic comeback story, an album no one pronounces correctly, Zakmin brings the sadness, thank you Reagan for an amazing childhood, and what's a knife?

Do you agree with David's rulings? Play at home and judge for yourself! While you're at it, send your rulings to our Facebook and pick up 20 points on the Dueling Decades Leaderboard!
